Burn After Reading

I enjoyed watching the film Burn after Reading last night. The film was well produced and had a infectious humour that produced spontaneous laughter. How sad it was, that after a really good film, the enjoyment should be totally destroyed by the profane and blasphemous remarks about Jesus that closed the film. It left the words ringing in my head as I walked home.

Blasphemous One Liners

Why producers feel they need to profane Our Lord’s name to create a laugh dismays me. There are plenty of other phrases could have can been used; but this film’s two identical closing lines could not have been more offensive and disrespectful. A really good evening and a good film were destroyed by cheap blasphemous one liners.
